Chupacabra

The chupacabra is a well-known pest somtimes appearing in the middle of the night to drain a farmers prized goat of its blood in seconds. they have bat wings, quills running down its back along the spine, leathery emaciated skin, large piercing teeth jutting out from its mouth, red orbed insectoid eyes, and claws for hands

the chupacabra is a monster that is willing to hunt but only if they have numbers. in a swarm of chupacabra each chupacabra has a difficlt to break moral but should many of them die and theres only a few chupacabra left their moral drops to a measly 2-4. solitary chupacabra hunt at night when most creatures are sleeping or surprise their prey from a bush or tree

chupacabra are great flyers able to take flight from a stand-still despite this chupacabra are actually on the bottom of the food chain and are caught in droves by lizardmen, yuan-ti, and skaven as a regular supply of food

chupacabra are gluttonous eaters if they see a chance to continue drinking they will take it everytime. even if their stomachs rupture by doing so. this is avoided by being in a swarm, for if other chupacabra see a chupacabra bloated with blood they will bite it and drain it to a more reasonable level. no matter how much the one being bitten protests. in addition should a battle be won chupacabra will have no qualms with draining their fallen brethren of the blood both in their stomach and in their body

they breed by "making out" with a corpse they recently drained the smell left behind can be detected by males and they do the same. the intermixed 'saliva' is actually eggs and sperm and they will eventually grow into flesh-eating maggots these maggots will rapidly grow as they eat once the corpse is gone the 4-6 maggots explode into adult chupacabra

History

the chupacabra is a result of the twisted passive influence of antharg on what was once a normal bat

it is said that if a chupacabra is ever able to breed on somthing as massive as, say, a giant. the maggots will feast so much they will start to eat each other leaving only one. that one explodes into a humanoid chupacabra with no wings, inverted black eyes as if the eye sockets are hollow, elongated claws, no back quills, and its spine bend as if hit by a car one such individual has been dubbed "the rake" due to its claws resembling two large rakes. it is said to be comparable to a living wendigo in many ways
