The giant spider is exactly as its name implies a spider thats really big. large enough that they are a common mount for goblins. ironically despite spiders being what the dark elves worship they are not found in the corrupted forests you find dark elves inside so even titan spiders are not used by them
Culture
Giant spiders live exclusively underground in caves and burrows made by larger creatures they feed off anything that passes by and gets stuck in their webs. they are solitary creatures that will only leave their home when looking to mate and that is also the only time they will shy away from eating their own race.
just like any spider they have characteristics that separate themselves from the common spider besides the size they do not eat their young, they do not eat their spouse, and they can shoot their webs from their abdomen in a semi-weaved state
just like many animals giant spiders can be trained, goblins have taken advantage of this to use them as versatile hit-and-run mounts that only they can use. the orks, hobgoblins, and obviously ogres are too big.
Titan Spider
The females of the giant spiders can shed their exoskeletons even in old age making them immune to death by aging as long as they can shed. this allows the females that are carefully raised by goblins for many years to become a titan spider. these enormous spiders can feed on giants and carry mobile greenskin bases on their backs
