the phoenix is only found in the most secluded places of the elemental plane of fire and feels no reason to leave. they are a good race and if somone is being chased by the native evil genie they will never follow you near where a phoenix is found since the phoenix will come to your aid

phoenix do not breed, the amount of phoenix is fixed and will not decrease nor increase. should a phoenix die of old age or other means it will burn to ash and from the ashes will be a invincible phoenix egg. the phoenix egg is an invincible ball of fire melting anything instantly that dares to touch it anything that cant melt reacts to hitting it the similar way as if they were to hit unobtainium

the flames on a phoenix body are harmless, ironically, to everything except the phoenix itself. its flames are soothing and comfortably warm. the reason that phoenix die of old age is due to this fire. otherwise they would be immortal

when evil engage it in combat it has a mighty foe to face, the phoenix is able to cast spells as if a level 20 mage, breath fire, and shriek. its shriek slows all who hear it making the phoenix always first to attack. shrieking does not count as an attack

the reason evil would want to fight a phoenix is due to everything produced by a phoenix(except its egg) being highly valuable. the tears of a phoenix cure any disease, return the drinker to full health, and permanently add 10 hp; phoenix feathers when burned along with a corpse(s) will reincarnate the person(s) into an infant of the same race withen the ashes; phoenix ashes can make a potion of eternal youth, greater curse curing, or can fertilize the most degraded of land

History

most good religions see the phoenix as holy and attacking one as a horrendous crime

in the beginning of elven existence rumors persist that there was a time before the elven pantheon where elves worshiped the phoenix and that for their worship where regularly granted a pheonix feather to use on their phoenix king should he ever die. there are no elven historical texts that go so far back however and any phoenix worshipers have surely passed away by now
