On 20 Mar 1800 The Executive Council of Upper Canada of Upper Canada gave a grant to John Hayes Lot No. 178 in the Town of Newark (Niagara). (Niagara Town Papers 0473)

On 20 Mar 1800 John Hays sold to Charles Sickles of the Town of West Niagara the house formerly occupied by Capt. Tacheston with ten pounds New York Currency. Hayes will make over Lot 115 and the improvements theeron. John Hays and Judy Hays made their marks witnessed by Charles Fields and Rosana Fields (her mark). Isaac McMichal original nominee proved to have sol to John Hay who sells to Charles Field who sells to John Stewart and allowed to John Stewart. (Niagara Town Papers 0473


Ten Broeck, Jacob

On 7 Dec 1793 the Land Board read the petition of Jacob Ten Broeck for a grant of one acre of land in the Town of Newark (Niagara) and found him qualified and assigned to him Town Lot 10. (Niagara Town Papers 1070)


Ten Broeck, Peter

On 19 Feb 1811 the Surveyor General’s Office prepared an undated surveyor’s assignment for Peter Ten Broeck of the Town of Niagara, Esquire for one-half acre of land in Lot No. 9 on Centre Street in the Town of Niagara under a Land Board Certificate and Surveyor General’s assignment dated 7 Dec 1795. Thomas, Charles

The Executive Council of Upper Canada of Upper Canada gave a warrant to ­­­­­Charles Thomas of the Town of Newark (Niagara) for a town lot in Newark (Niagara) as per an Order in Council dated 10 May 1797. (Niagara Town Papers 1062)

On 17 May 1802 The Executive Council of Upper Canada of Upper Canada gave a grant to ­­­­­Charles Thomas of the Town of Niagara for one acre in Town Lot 321 in the Town of Niagara. (Niagara Town Papers 1064)


Thompson, Archibald

On 26 Jun 1795 The Executive Council of Upper Canada of Upper Canada gave a grant to Archibald Thompson of Scarborough, County of York, yeoman for Lot No. 152 in the Town of Niagara. (Niagara Town Papers 1067)


Thompson, Elizabeth

Acting Surveyor General D. W. Smith prepared an undated surveyor’s assignment for Alex. McDonell Esq. transferred from Mrs. E. Thompson for one acre of land in Lot No. 28 on Prideaux Street in the Town of Newark. (Niagara Town Papers 1083)

On 28 Jun 1803 E. Thompson requested Acting Surveyor General Thomas Ridout make a search for the deed of Lot No. 30 on Prideaux Street, Niagara. (Niagara Town Papers 1067)

On 3 Aug 1804 in the Executive Council of Upper Canada the Chief Justice moved and the Board recommended that a former order by which a deed for No. 28 in the Town of Niagara was directed to be impounded, be rescinded, and that the deed be issued to Mrs. Elizabeth Thompson, the cause for the deed having ceased. On 16 Nov 1804 Attorney General Thomas Scott ordered a description issued to Elizabeth Thompson for the southwesterly part of Lot 30 in the Town of Niagara under the report of the 2nd sitting of the Niagara Commission for the year 1803. (Niagara Town Papers 011)

On 16 Nov 1804 The Executive Council of Upper Canada of Upper Canada gave a grant to Elisabeth Thompson of the Town of Niagara, widow for the south westerly part of Lot No. 30 in the Town of Niagara under the 3rd Claim Niagara Commission 1803. (Niagara Town Papers 1075)


Thompson, Robert

On 22 May 1810 John Symington wrote from Niagara to Acting Surveyor General William Chewett that sometime since he purchased the Lot No. 46 in this town of Robert Thompson who was to procure the King’s deed for the same, but which still remains undone. He asked if a description has issued and if it is probable that the patent will be made in his name. Note at the bottom possibly written by Chewett: Description for the above Lot has issue to Robert Thompson (No. 5996) and which was sent it is supposed to the late Attorney General White’s Office in 97, 8 or 9. On 27 Jun 1810 William Jarvis, Secretary of the Executive Council certified no deed has been completed in his office in the name of Robert Thompson for Lot No. 46 in the Town of Niagara. (Niagara Town Papers 1088)
