Fletcher, Archibald

On 3 Jan 1791 the Land Board read the petition of Archibald Fletcher for a grant of 200 acres of land in the Township No. 3 (Grantham) and found him qualified for a grant of 200 acres. The order was referred to Acting Surveyor General Augustus Jones who assigned to him two hundred acres in Lot 7 Concession 4 in the Township of No. 3. (Grantham Township Papers 0193)

Acting Surveyor General D. W. Smith prepared an undated surveyor’s assignment for Archibald Fletcher for 100 acres of land in Lot 7 Concession 4 in the Township of Grantham under a Land Board Certificate dated 16 Jan 1791. (Grantham Township Papers 0191)

Fletcher, Stephen

On 12 Mar 1792 the Land Board read the petition of Stephen Fletcher for a grant of 200 acres of land in the Township No. 3 (Grantham) and found him qualified for a grant of 200 acres. The order was referred to Acting Surveyor General Augustus Jones who assigned to him two hundred acres in Lots 11 and 12 Concession 5 in the Township of No. 3. (Grantham Township Papers 0295)

Goring, Francis

On 18 Jan 1791 the Land Board read the petition of Francis Goring for a grant of 200 acres of land in the Township No. 3 (Grantham) and found him qualified for a grant of 200 acres. The order was referred to Acting Surveyor General Augustus Jones who assigned to him one hundred acres in Lot 1 Concession 9 in the Township of No. 3. (Grantham Township Papers 0711)

On 15 Mar 1794 Francis Goring wrote a letter to Honorable John White, Esq. With certificates for 600 acres of land which he requested inserted in one grant or deed or to have the three first certificates containing 400 acres in one grant tho one of the lots is in the Third Township and the other 3 lots in the first Township yet the land is joining. Gould, John

On 22 Nov 1805 John Macdonell, now of York agent for John Gould late of Butlers Rangers, now of Grantham, yeoman appeared before Duncan Cameron, Esq., J. P. and made oath that he made due search in the several offices of the Land Grantors Department for a Land Board Certificate in favour of the said John Gould for two hundred acres of land in the said township of Grantham being lots number nineteen in the ninth and twenty in the eighth concessions of the said Township of Grantham and deponent further saith that such certificate is not to be found in any of the said offices. On 22 Nov 1805 Surveyor General C. B. Wyatt certified that John Gould late of Butlers Rangers is entered on the Plan of Township No. 3, now Grantham, for Lots No. 19 in the 9th Concession and No. 20 in the 8th Concession, containing together 200 acres under a Land Board Certificate of the 18th Jan 1791, and the late Surveyor General Mr. Smith assignment of the 6th December 1794 which have not been described. Grammont, Joseph

On 16 Nov 1842 Joseph Grammont wrote to Norbert Morin Esq., Commissioner of Crown Lands stating he has purchased the south half of Lot No. 17 in the first range of the Township of Grantham and asked if the lot was granted to Daniel Sweeney, 49 Regt. of Foot. (Grantham Township Papers 0077)
