Sugar-Crusted Chocolate Chip Muffins

What you need:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 3 tsp. baking powder
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1 cup milk
    • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
    • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
    • 1 egg
    • 3/4 cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
    • 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar
    • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar

Directions:

    1. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, 1/2 cup granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and chocolate chips.
    2. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, vanilla, and egg.
    3. In another small bowl, combine 3 Tbsp. granulated sugar and brown sugar for the topping and set aside.
    4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined.
    5. Fill a muffin pan with paper tins and then fill each paper tin with batter about 2/3 full.
    6. Top each with a little of the topping mixture.
    7. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for about 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
    8. Let cool for 1 minute and then remove from muffin pan.
