Pizza Meatloaf

What you need:

    • 6 oz. mini pepperoni
    • 2 lb. ground beef
    • 1 large egg
    • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
    • 1 tsp. thyme
    • 1 tsp. garlic powder
    • 1 tsp. oregano
    • 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
    • 1/2 tsp. salt
    • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
    • 8 oz. sliced mozzarella
    • 1 cup Homestyle Ragu sauce or other prepared tomato pasta sauce, divided

Directions:

    1. In a large bowl, combine ingredients except sliced mozzarella and pasta sauce.
    2. Place half the mixture into a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish and form into a laf shape with a shallow well in the middle.
    3. Place cheese slices into the shallow well. Top with remainder of meat sealing the cheese in the middle.
    4. Top the loaf with 1/2 cup pasta sauce.
    5. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
    6. Remove from oven and top with remaining pasta sauce. Bake for 15 more minutes or until done.
