Pizza Meatloaf
What you need:
- 6 oz. mini pepperoni
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 8 oz. sliced mozzarella
- 1 cup Homestyle Ragu sauce or other prepared tomato pasta sauce, divided
Directions:
- In a large bowl, combine ingredients except sliced mozzarella and pasta sauce.
- Place half the mixture into a lightly greased 9x13-inch baking dish and form into a laf shape with a shallow well in the middle.
- Place cheese slices into the shallow well. Top with remainder of meat sealing the cheese in the middle.
- Top the loaf with 1/2 cup pasta sauce.
- Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with remaining pasta sauce. Bake for 15 more minutes or until done.
