5-Ingredient Taco Braid

What you need:

    • 1 seamless crescent roll dough
    • 1 lb. ground beef
    • 1 pkg. taco seasoning
    • 1 cup salsa
    • 1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
    • Desired toppings (lettuce, jalapenos, tomato, avocado, sour cream, etc.)

Directions:

    1. Brown and crumble ground beef in a large skillet. Drain, if needed.
    2. Stir in taco seasoning and salsa. Set aside.
    3. Place crescent dough on a baking sheet that has been lined with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
    4. Make slices down the sides about an inch apart, leave about 3 inches in the center for the filling.
    5. Spread ground beef mixture down the center and then top with 1 cup cheese.
    6. Braid the strips, taking one side and folding it over the center. Then take a strip from the other side and fold over the center.
    7. Pinch the ends to seal and then sprinkle with the remainder of the cheese.
    8. Bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
    9. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing, topping, and serving.
