U10 Hurling

The 11th Annual John Joe Nevin Tournament took place in Ballina last

Sunday. It featured teams from Clooney Quinn, Newport, Scarriff, Smith

O'Briens and two teams from Ballina (Red and Blue). There was some

superb hurling played by all teams. The C final was won by Smith

O'Briens and the B final was won by Scarriff. The A final was

contested between the Ballina Red team and Clooney Quinn. In a fine

game Ballina went on the win and regain the John Joe Nevin Shield.

Congratulations to our U10s, captained by Jack Collins, and coaches

Ken, Willie, Liam, John and Sean. Also, well done to Jack Collins who

was named Player of the Tournament. A special thank you to Patsy Nevin

and family, all the clubs who participated and to everyone who helped

with organising the tournament.

U13 Hurling

Hard luck to our U13s who lost to Nenagh Eire Og in the North Tipp

Plate last Friday evening.

All Ireland Replay :Tickets for the All-Ireland replay will be drawn

on Friday night 19th September at 9PM in the club house..

.The names of all members who order tickets will be included in the

draw . It is essential that members are present on the night as

tickets may be limited and must be collected.

Lotto: No winner of the local lotto numbers drawn were 9,10,21,23,

jackpot now stands at €14,600. To be in with a chance to win/share in

the prize, tickets may be bought in all local shops, pubs, club

support it is very much appreciated.

Junior A Football: Hard luck to our Junior footballers who were

defeated by a determined Shannon Rovers in Cloughjordan last Saturday

evening. Shannon Rovers now will represent the North division in the

County Championship. The North championship will go ahead at a later

date.

Cul Camp skills day: Well done to Ellen O Donnell U10 camogie and Leah

Walsh U8 who were picked to participate in the skills day in Dr Morris

Park last Saturday.

U6 &U8 camogie: They will play Newport this Wednesday evening at

6-30PM in Ballina.Well done also to the girls who took part in a

county blitz last Friday evening in Ballinderry.
