Ballina GAA Club Notes

Club AGM:

Over 30 people attended the club AGM in the clubroom on Friday last 9th Jan 2015. Many items were discussed on the evening with more still to follow. Secretary John Gleeson & Treasurer Caroline McKeogh both presented very detailed reports on the year’s activities. Nor John or Caroline sought re-election and both were complimented & thanked on their efforts for 2014 & prior years. Chairperson Sarah Devane also gave her appraisal on the year past & highlighted the challenges facing the club in the coming year.

Elections:

Life-President: John Joe Maher & John Joe McKeogh; President: Patsy Nevin; Vice President: Fr Ted O’Rahelly & Fr. Enda Brady; Chairperson: Sarah Devane; Secretary: Gerard McKeogh; Treasurer: Fergus Breen; Child Protection Officer: Elaine O’Connor; Welfare Officer: Carmel Bradshaw; Tipp Draw Co-Ordinator: Eugene Power; Player Injury Scheme Officer: Shane Ryan

Senior Hurling / Junior Football Selectors: Adrian King, Jim McGrath & Brendan McKeogh; Junior Hurling / Under-21 Hurling & Football Selectors: Sean Collins, Aaron Devane & Michael Hurley.

Adjourned AGM:

The adjourned AGM will be held in the club-house on Saturday 24th January @ 7:30pm. This will be another vital meeting for the club & the following positions will have to be filled: Vice-Chair; Asst. Secretary; Asst. Treasurer; PRO; Registrar & Health & Safety Officer; Minor Selectors. Anyone interested in filling these vital positions can make themselves known to a club-officer in advance or on the night. Membership will be set for the year at this meeting. Apologies if we fail to get Motion/Nomination Forms to everyone. These can be downloaded from website; www.ballina.tipperary.gaa.ie. As a result, nominations will be taken from the floor on the night.

National Club Draw:

Ballina are supporting the National club draw which includes 15 great prizes. Tickets cost just €10 each & all proceeds stay with the club. Please contact club officers immediately if you wish to support the club in this venture.

5-year Strategic Plan:

The club will soon begin the process of drawing up a 5-year strategic plan. A club meeting/Forum will be held in February to begin this process.
