Juvenile Notes:

U6/U8

Many of these age groups had a busy week of GAA activity at Cul Camp.

The U8s travelled to Newport on Saturday morning last and had a very enjoyable mornings hurling.

U10s

The U10s were in Dr Morris Park on Saturday morning for a blitz organised by Clare GAA GDAs.

They played Clare teams, Scarriff/ Ogonnelloe and Ballyea & Lisgoold from Cork . The boys played some wonderful hurling in their matches.

U12s

U12 Group B played Portroe in Ballina on Friday evening last. There were some fine displays all over the field and a special mention to the back line who were magnificent. They had a well-deserved win.

Group Ds game v Portroe was postponed and will now take place this Thursday 23rd at 6.30 in Ballina.

There are no fixtures yet for quarterfinals in U12.

U14s

Our U14s played Toomevara at home last Wednesday evening. Toomevara recorded a big win over Ballina who have endured a difficult hurling championship but in fairness have given it their all against some very strong oppositions.

U16

The U16s played Borrisokane on Monday 13th. The match was abandoned close to full time with Borrisokane well on top, due to an injury to a Borrisokane player. All in Ballina GAA wish the young man who was injured a speedy recovery.

They played Portroe at home on Monday 20th. No result at time of going to press.

Please come down to the field this week and support our young players in their home games. They are the future of our club and deserve our support.

Cúl Camp

150 children took part in the camp last week. A great week was had by all with lots of new skills learned and new friendships made.

Well done to Ronnie Power for co coordinating the camp and ensuring all ran so smoothly. Well done to our juvenile and camogie players who helped out during the week and to the parents who helped out at lunchtimes.

Training Camp for Older Juveniles

Please note this camp will take place Tues, Wed and Thurs 28th, 29th and 30th July. It is for boys born in 2003 or older and is run by Shane McGrath Tipp hurler.

Please book now with Ronnie Power or Eamonn Power.
