The most exciting match so far was played on Tuesday night last, The Ballina Blue team took on Nenagh in the Premier Games semi-final. Ballina had a comfortable win the previous Saturday against Kildangan, however the needed to improve their game even further against a strong Nenagh team. The ballina team showed great skill but most of all hunger in the first half which they had the majority of the possesion and were unlucky not to land a few more scores, Nenagh sneaked a lucky goal to keep them within 1 point at 1:2 to 1:1 at half time.

A determined Ballina came out in the second half and again gave everything they could to get some nice scores, They went 4 points up before Nenagh replied with a point and then a goal to level the match. Both teams had chances but in the end Nenagh got the last score to win it by a single point. Hard luck to all the lads who put in a great performance over the league. Their level of teamwork and skill has improved over the competition which great credit should go to the coaches.

Family Fun and Respect Day.

A highly enjoyable morning of fun was had by the kids and parents on this annual event. First up the The kids took part their regular coaching session with some added fun thrown in- there was all sorts of penalty shoot outs, wheelbarrow races, Hurling relay races and plenty of games. The parents then took part in a penalty shoot out with some eye catching shots by a number of parents. This was followed by the Tug Of war. This is always a big hit- first up the kids had a go- Its remarkable how kids can pull a rope in a circle!!!

When the serious business started the Tipperary natives reclaimed their title from the "rest of the World" selection.
