Ballina GAA Notes 21st December 2015

Christmas Day Swim at Two Mile Gate.

Don’t forget to support the Christmas Day swimmers in what ever way you can. They enter Lough Derg at Two-mile-gate at 12:30pm on Christmas Day.

This year’s swim will benefit Ballina GAA Club and Smith O’Briens GAA Club. We are asking all senior and older juvenile members to make an effort to take part in the swim. Sponsorship cards are available from Fergus Breen @ 087 9487497. All funds collected by Ballina will benefit Ballina GAA club.

Conventions

Ballina were represented at both the North and County conventions in the last week. Best wishes to all officers elected to both Bórds. Congratulations to Eugene Ryan and Willie Lennox who stepped down as Secretary and Treasurer of the North Bórd. Best wishes to Miriam Minehan, who takes over as Secretary. Congratulations to Eamonn Buckley who stepped down as Treasurer of the County Bórd and best wishes to Michael Power who takes on the role. Best wishes to PRO, Joe Bracken, also.

Tipperary G.A.A. Yearbook 2016 now on sale

The Tipperary G.A.A. Yearbook 2016 is now available in the bookshops and usual outlets.

Lotto Results

No winner of the lotto last week. Numbers drawn were 8, 13, 21, 27.

Juvenile Club AGM

The AGM of Ballina GAA Juvenile club took place on Tuesday 15th December in the clubhouse.

The following officers were elected for 2016:

First Aid Co-Ordinator: Brid Mc Mahon

The club would like to thank the officers who stepped down at AGM for the great service they have given the club over the last number of years and wish all new officers well in their new roles.
