Ballina GAA Notes 28th Sep 2015

Five-Year Development Plan

We had a good turnout with some very good contributions at our Forum in Boru On The Hill on Friday night last. Thanks to all those who attended and contributed. If you couldn't make the meeting or have some other ideas, which you would like to add, please email them to secretary.ballina.tipperary@gaa.ie over the coming week. Thanks to Michael, Mairead and the staff at Boru On The Hill. We hope to launch the final document in November.

Club Lotto:

No winner of the lotto last week. Numbers drawn were 1, 3, 5, 22.

Jackpot for this week is €10,400!!!! Lines are €2 each and can be bought online by clicking on the lotto link on the Ballina GAA website,https://www.locallotto.ie/localhome.asp?LL_ID=390

Juvenile Notes:

U8s

The U8 boys traveled to Dr Morris Parkin Thurles on Sat last to take part in The County Blitz.

U10s

The U10 boys took advantage of the autumn sunshine over the weekend to play a blitz v Kilconieran of Galway. Over 25 boys played on Sunday morning on their lovely new playing surface. All three games were evenly contested and there were some great individual displays on both sides. Well done to all!

U11s

The U11s took part in The Martin O Leary Memorial Tournament hosted by Burgess on Sat morning. Max Ryan accepted the trophy for the winning Ballina team.

Ballina U11's in Burgess
Max Ryan accepts Trophy

U14s

The first games of an U14 tournament organised by Ballina took place over the weekend. Ballina played Borrisoleigh but lost out to them. They play Silvermines next weekend.

Senior Notes:

Junior "A" Football

We expect our Junior Footballers to be playing a County Quarter Final this weekend or over the following few days. Please keep an eye on Fixtures for details and support if you can.

Under-21Hurling

Our Under-21 Hurlers are due to begin their campaign on Saturday in Puckane against Kilruane at 5pm. Check Fixtures for confirmation. This will be a very big test for the lads, so all support appreciated.
