Congratulations to one of the clubs rising underage player, Daniel O'Meara, who became the U11 Munster Babminton champion for 2012 last weeknd. Daniel has been playing babminton for a number of years and this results shows the great effort he and his parents, Mike and Lesley, are putting into this game. Daniel was also part of the winning mixed doubles team that won out at the same event. Earlier this year he played a key part on our very successful U10 Hurling and football squads. Fantastic result and well done Daniel.

The club would like to also congratulate Fergus Breen on his retirement last friday after a long career with the AIB Bank. Fergus has been bank manager in the Killaloe AIB Branch since 2003 and since then has been a great friend and supportor of the club. We would like to wish him well in his retirement. Before he retired Fergus arranged for none other than Colm "The Gooch" Cooper to pay a visit to the Ballina School last thursday. The Gooch met all the 5th and 6th class students and took the 6th class boys on a football training session before heading back to the Breen's house for tea and sandwiches. No doubth leaving a few tips for fergus's son young Robbie.

The Juvenile club AGM will take place on Sat 15th Dec next in the club house. All existing members and anyone wishing to get involved with the club are invited to attend. Any nominations for club officers and motions must be submitted in advance of the AGM.
