Boru Singers: A sincere thank you to Sadie Scanlan and the Boru Singers for organising a lovely evening's entertainment at Brian Boru on December 7th with all the proceeds to the Ballina Field developement. The Boru singers will sing carols in the Milk Market in Limerick on Saturday December 21st at 11am, all proceeds to the Alzeheimer's Assosication and Ballina GAA.

Calender of Events: We plan to issue a calender of events for 2014 in the coming weeks. Strictly Come Dancing begins in early January. Trailer loads of timber to raffle in January/February. Our Medal presentation for the Minors and Intermediates in Febuary. The very sucessful Bike For Ballina will take place over the June week-end.

St Annes Community College: Ballina players provide the nucleus of the Senior hurling team in the the community college team, they have reached the knockout stages having lost only one game. Players.. Conor Maguire, Ronan Bourke, Jamie Collins, James Murtagh, Adrian Power, Phelim O Hagan, Eamonn Healy, and Ben King. Lots of other Ballina players are featuring strongly on all other teams in hurling, football and camogie. The new astro turf at the school is proving a great addition to facilities and has been used by the club both Intermediates and Minors in the latter stages of the championships.

Senior AGM: Club AGM will take place Friday January 10th at 8pm in the Complex. Nomination forms will be available on club website after December 19th. Note no nomination papers will be posted this year. Please come along and support the club and have your say about club matters.

U21 Tipp Hurling: Congratulations to Tipperary U21 hurlers and to Stephen O'Brien who defeated Wexford on Saturday in Clonmel.

Local lotto: There was no winner of last week lotto, numbers drawn were 2,6,17,25. Jackpot is now €7,000 to be in with a chance to win/share in this jackpot before Christmas. Tickets may be purchased in all local shops, pubs, club officers and on line at www.locallotto.ie Thank you for your continued support of our club and parish it is always appreciated.

BuyaSod: Sods remain available to purchase for the developement of our pitch, what a lovely present to send to your dearest who are living abroad at Christmas, light and easy to post. Sods may be purchased from commitee members or on line www.ballinatipperarygaa.ie/buyasod for €50.

Purchase of DVD: The club has produced a fabolous DVD featuring the Intermediate County and Munster Finals and the Minor County Final. A highly entertaining commentary by our very own Shane Ryan who would give Effin Eddie a run for his money. This 3 disc package is sure to be a popular stocking filler and is on sale now for €20 in all shops in the village or from Caroline Mc Keogh.
