5-year plan

We expect to have a launch in the month of November, but in the meantime you can submit any ideas you may have to secretary.ballina.tipperary@gaa.ie in the coming days.

Juvenile Notes:

National Schools

Both Ballina and Boher National Schools met with the club executive recently to discuss the role of the school in the club and vice-versa.

Our thanks to both schools for taking time out of their busy schedule and continued good wishes for the coming year.

U14s

There was no game in the U14 tournament last week.

They play Nenagh Eire Óg next. This game will probably take place on Bank Holiday Monday.

Handball

Best of luck to Ballina Juvenile Club members James Power, Adam Fogarty and Cian Donnelly (sub) and to Conor Bourke & James Prentice who take part in their respective All Ireland finals next weekend.

Primary Schools

Ballina National School travelled to Toomevara for a football blitz recently.

First game for Ballina was against Killruane. In this game Ballina dominated proceedings winning on a score line of 4.13 to no score.

In the second game Ballina came up against Rosrea. This was a much tighter affair. Ballina led this match at half time by 3 points. The second half continued much the same with Ballina eventually winning on a scoreline of 4.1 to 1.1. Ballina now qualify for North final which will be played next week against Nenagh or Puckane.

Ballina panel: Max Ryan, Shane O'Connell, Kevin McMahon, Cian Molloy, Daniel Tighe, Patrick Ryan, Evan Carey, Daniel Furey, Luke Graham, Charlie King, Braoin Cleary, Cian Donnelly, David Coughlan, Oisin Pepper, Brian Bourke, Shane Kelly, Adam Power, James Frahill, Ian Larkin, Jack Quinn, Cathal O'Donnell, Jack Collins.

Winter Training

The Saturday afternoon training sessions continue with good numbers taking part again last Saturday.

Senior Notes:

Under-21 Hurling

It was very disappointing that we were unable to field in Under-21 Hurling on Saturday last V Kilruane MacDonaghs. Some people put in a big effort to train and attempt to field, but unfortunately this effort was not matched by others.

We have a couple of weeks before next game, which now is our last chance.

Junior Football

We expect a North Final Fixture V Newport in the coming weeks.

Congratulations

Congratulations and well done to Michael Breen who was selected on the Bord Gais Under-21 Hurling Team of the year. A well deserved award for Michael.

Club AGM

The club AGM has been provisionally fixed for Friday 4th December. Members will receive nomination papers in the coming weeks.
