This weeks notes include: Munster Hurling Semi Final; Lotto Results; Juvenile Notes: U10s, U12s,

U14s, U16, Schools, Cul Camp, Senior Notes: Senior Hurling, Junior “B” & Minor Hurling.

Munster Hurling Semi Final

Congratulations to Tipperary Senior hurlers on an emphatic win over Limerick in the Munster championship and particularly to Michael Breen for scoring a great goal when he came on the latter stages of the game, having previously been on as a blood sub.

Well done also to Josh Egan on taking part in the primary game at half time.

Lotto Results

No winner of the lotto last week. Numbers drawn were 1,13,20,25.

Juvenile Notes:

U10s

The U10s are looking forward to the upcoming Brian Boru competition on the first weekend of July.

U12s

U12B Group played Templederry on Monday 15th June and won their game. They were unfortunate to be beaten by a goal by Borrisilleigh on Friday evening last.

U12 D group also can out winners against Templederry in their game on Monday 15th. They were also victorious in their game against Burgess last Friday night.

The B group have received a bye this coming Friday while the D group play Kildangan away in Puckane on Friday evening.

U14s

The U14s played the second round of their hurling championship v Borrisokane and lost on the night against a very skilled Borrisokane side.

Round three is against Kildangan In Ballina at 7.30pm this Wednesday, 24th June.

The postponed first round game v Kilruane Mc Donaghs will be played on Saturday 27th June in Cloughjordan. Time to be confirmed.

They travelled to Rathkeale last Saturday to take part in a Munster blitz where they played games against Limerick clubs Templeglantine and Caherline, and against Clare club Newmarket on Fergus. The boys enjoyed their day’s hurling.

U16

U16s begin their championship on June 29th, away to Templederry.

Schools

Well done to the Ballina N.S girls team on a super county final win last week.

Cul Camp

You can book online or with Ronnie Power for Cul Camp which takes place from July 13th to 17th.

It is also proposed to hold a camp for older juveniles later in the summer. More details when finalised.

Senior Notes:

Senior Hurling

Our Senior Hurlers had a good win over JK Brackens on Friday evening, 19th June in Nenagh in the County Senior Hurling Challenge Cup (Holohan Cup) Semi-final. Final score, Ballina 1-20, JK Brackens 3-12.

Ballina will play Templederry Kenyons in the North Tipperary Senior Hurling Championship Quarter Finals. At the moment, this game is fixed for Sunday 28th June.

Junior “B” & Minor Hurling:

Our Junior "B" Hurlers are also due to play their first game of the championship on the weekend of June 28th.

Our Minor Hurlers will open their championship campaign on Thursday 25th June away to Lorrha-Dorrha.
