Deal Completed for New Playing Field

Ballina GAA Club has completed a deal to buy land adjoining the current site for the purposes of a second playing field. Since the EGM in November 2010, committee members have worked tirelessly to complete the preparatory steps which will ensure that the planning process is concluded shortly and without any issues. It was also necessary to ensure that the club had sufficient financial support from our subscribers and from the bank. Confirmed on Saturday December 3rd 2011, it came after many years of pain-staking work. More details to follow shortly.

Firewood Auction

Date for auction has been changed to Saturday 17th Dec. @2pm. Preparation continues next Sat. with the final push to have job completed for the following Saturday, the club is calling on members and supporters to assist in the cutting, splitting, and loading of the firewood. Submit their names to club Sec.

Tickets are on sale for a tractor load of ash timber, they are priced @ €2 each or 3 for €5, they can be purchased from any club officer, or can be obtained in most local business outlets,or on line through the club website. Draw will be held at the lotto draw Mon night 19th of Dec.

All Ireland Minor trophy

The All Ireland Minor trophy paid a visit to the local primary school in the company of All Ireland minor medal winner Stephen O Brien , Noel Morris Chairman of the Tipperary Football Board, Michael Sheehy Chairman of North Tipp. Board, and club Sec John Gleeson. Cup was well received by everyone ,hopefully it will not be too long, before we see another Ballina student, returning with more silverware from Croke Park.

Dates for your diary;

The club's Annual General Meeting has been fixed for Fri.13th January 2012. The Juvenile Club AGM has not yet been fixed. The club will hold a 1 mile Charity Walk on St Stephen's morning, more details later.
