BALLINA GAA CLUB 5 YEAR PLAN

As chairman of the North Tipperary GAA Board I am pleased to endorse the Ballina GAA Club Five Year Strategic Plan.

I am impressed with the vision of the club contained in the document and complement the club members who worked so diligently in formulating the various elements of the plan. It demonstrates the true amateur ethos of the club’s members and the wider community of Ballina and Boher.

Ballina club has been a formidable force in Tipperary GAA since the formation of the club in 1885 in both hurling and football, winning a number of Divisional and County Championships. However a new chapter was written in 2013 in winning the County Intermediate Hurling Championship and have successfully competed in senior ranks over the past couple of years. This recent success was augmented by two of the club members winning Munster & All Ireland minor hurling titles, one of whom also winning Munster & All Ireland minor football titles as well as a Munster U21 title.

Both players have now graduated to county senior status in their respective codes with a Munster senior hurling medal coming to the club in 2015

In addition to the achievements on the field of play, Ballina club can be proud of supplying a number of officers to the North Tipperary GAA Board over the past couple of decades.

In conclusion, I wish Ballina GAA club every success in the implementation of the their 5 Year Strategic Plan which no doubt will see the club rise to new levels of achievement both on and off the field.
