U14 North Tipperary Representative

Well done to U14 player Terry O'Halloran who was part of the North Tipp squad for last Saturday's U14 Peadar Cummins tournament. It’s a great honour for himself, his family & his club – well done Terry !

U10 Update

The U10 hurlers have been busy these past few weeks. They played two challenge matches recently against Ballinahinch and Killaloe. Everyone got game time which was great and there was some great hurling on display on each occasion. In both matches, Ballina took a commanding lead in the first half, only to be pegged back by the opposition in the second half. A great team effort saw the boys edge past the opposition on each occasion. .This coming Saturday (June 4th) sees Ballina host the North Tipp U10 blitz for June. Best of luck to the Ballina boys. Start time is 11:15am. The U10 hurlers are hosting the June blitz in Ballina on the bank holiday weekend, June 4th at 11:15am.

U8 Blitz

Well done to the U8 hurlers who had great fun taking part in a blitz last Saturday in Templederry. The boys played 6 matches – enjoyed all 6 - and won 4 of the 6. The boys got great match practice against Moneygall, Templederry, Killenaule & Borrisoleigh. If anyone is not getting text updates, please contact your coaches or email ballinagaaclub@gmail.com.

Friends of Ballina GAA

A reminder to anyone who is a member of this scheme that promoters are currently collecting renewals for year 2. This initiative is a lifeline for club development and 100% of your contributions goes towards development. Your support is absolutely critical to the success of this venture. Also, for those who are PAYE earners, there is a tax rebate (free money) to be claimed from the revenue that benefits the club at no cost to you. Just fill out the form provided by your promoter or get it in our Friends of Ballina GAA page.

Tipp County Draw

The first draw will be held next Friday night June 3rd with the Skoda Superb, or € 30,000 as 1st prize, and the Skoda Octavia or € 15,000 as second prize. There is still time to join this excellent draw, with over €500,000 in prizes, and with 50% of takings going to the host club, it forms a lifeline for both club and county funds.

Win All Ireland Tickets & Overnight Stay in Dublin for €2 !

The club has also commenced a draw for a pair of All Ireland Hurling tickets, a pair of All Ireland Football Tickets and a pair of Camogie All Ireland tickets, an organised overnight stay in Dublin will accompany each pair of tickets The draw will be held at the end of August, your support is vital for this project.

Golf Classic. The club's golf classic was held in East Clare Golf Club in Bodyke last Saturday, over 40 teams participated. It proved to be a great success with ideal weather conditions and everyone enjoyed the event. Prizes were presented in Mills' bar later in the evening. The club would like to thank everyone who helped to organised this event, and in particular to Brian Stritch whose golfing and organisational skills were key to its success

Intermediate Hurlers

Ballina defeated St Mary's Clonmel in the County Hurling League Sunday morning, the match was played in Boherlahan before the big game in Thurles, the final score was 6-11 to 1-4. They now play Ballinahinch in the final game of the league in 2 weeks time.
