Senior Hurling Cup Challenge Semi-final: The senior players were out in the semi-final of Jim Devitt Cup against Holycross/Ballycahill in Ballina this was a close encounter, the result could have gone either way. The first half was evenly contested with Brian and Stephen Stritch picking up early points for Ballina Holycross also had two early points and were awarded a penalty which they converted. David Hickey and Eoin Sheehy added two points each for the home side. Brian Stritch Eoin Kent and Sean Mc Keogh all contributed points leaving the half time score Hoycross 1-9,Ballina 11 points.

The second half saw both teams hit a number of wides,Holycross also driving a 21 yard free wide. David Hickey 2 and Brian Stritch 2 completed Ballina's points tally in the second half while Holycross/Ballycahill ran out narrow winners by 1 point, 1-13 to 15 points.

North Tipp Junior B League: Our juniors were out against Borrisokane in round one last Saturday and came away with a draw 1-7 to 10 points.

Tipperary Senior football: Well done to Stephen O'Brien and the Tipperary Senior footballers on their win against Leitrim,and promotion to Division 3.

Tipperary Senior Hurling: Congratulations to Tipperary Senior hurlers and to Michael Breen who is on the senior panel on their win against Cork in Semple stadium.

U12 Football group 2: The under twelve footballers had a fine win over Portroe last Saturday morning in Portroe. In a close competitive encounter Ballina were eventual winners. Well done to these young boys.

U14 Football: U14 are out against Borrisokane in Borrisokane Wednesday 2nd April at 6-30pm.

U14 Peil: The peil is divided into two groups thus coming year into A and B section and as there are are only four teams entered Nenagh Eire O g will play Inane in the A division and Ballina will play Newport in the B. Games will take place in Burgess next Saturday times to be confirmed.

U12 Football Group 2: They play Borrisoleigh in Ballina Friday April 4th at 6-30pm.

U12 Football Group 4: Play Toomevara in Ballina Friday April 4th at 6-30pm.

Strictly Come Dancing : The local heat of the Strictly Come dancers will take place in the Lakeside Hotel on Saturday April 5th. Best of luck to all the dancers a great night of entertainment guaranteed. The dancers did a dress rehearsal in the Lakeside Hotel on Sunday afternoon, this was great fun and very entertaining. It was free of charge with a bucket collection at the door for the local Alzheimer's Association [Watermans] Thank you to those who attended and contributed to the bucket collection.

Easter GAA camp: The juvenile club are holding an Easter camp for 6 to 13 year olds from April 16th -18th. It will run from 10am till 1pm. and costs €20 per child Each participant will receive a football and a sliotar. Bookings will be taken in the clubhouse on Friday 4th of April from 7-8pm. Cul Camp is booked for July 21st and will be available shortly online.

Club Bingo: Bingo continues on Wednesday night at 8-30pm sharp in Boru on the Hill, please come along for a relaxing night out and maybe win some money.

Handball: Congratulations to Martin Mc Inerney and John Lee on winning All Ireland Masters B doubles who beat Tyrone to take the title.
