Medal Presentation: The presentation night will take place in the Lakeside Hotel on Saturday 15th February,buffet supper,music by Wise Guys and Disco. 8 till late. Tickets €2O. Tickets on sale in local shops.

Tipperary U21 Football : Congratulations to Stephen O'Brien who was part of U21 Tipperary football team who beat Mayo in the Hasting Shield last weekend and their win over Carlow this Sunday in Dr Cullen park Carlow 1-8 to Tipperary 2-24.

Local Lotto: There was no winner of the jackpot which now stands at €8,200 numbers drawn were 5,22,25,and 26. Next draw Febuary 3rd in the Roundhill to be in with a chance to win/share in the jackpot, tickets may be purchased in all retail outlets, pubs locally,club officers and on line www.locallotto.ie

Gaeltacht Scholarships 2014: Coiste Chontae Thiobraid Arann is offering a limited number of Gaeltacht Scholarships. These scholarships are for students currently in 2nd,5th and transition years. Applicants or their parents must have been registered members of their local GAAclub in 2013. A letter from the senior club secretary[GAA,Camogie,Handball] confirming and outlining the applicant's involvement in the club. Applicants will be called for interveiw where they must display enthusiasm for the Irish language. Closing date or applications is Friday February 7th 2014. Ballina GAA juvenile and Camogie club applicants should contact Eamonn Power for further information.

Astro training: The juvenile club is running a few pre-season hurling sessions over a six week period in the 3G astro turf in Killaloe. The sessions are free to members and are on every second weekend over the six weeks. Saturday 9th February u6/u8 boys groups. U12 camogie and U14 boys have opted to train weekly. It is free to members[slots paid for by club]] and is a bit of fun-nobody is obliged to attend.

Annerville Award: Congratulations to Fergal Collins Ballina Handball Club who received the award for his winning both 40x20 & 60x30 Intermediate doubles title and also reaching the 60x30 singles final..This is Fergals 5th award as he was also recipient in 2003,2006,2010 & 2011. Well done.

U16 Handball: Congratulations and well done to James Prentice Ballina Handball club who was UK open runner up in the U16 Handball final. Also to Adam Fogarty who won the 40x20A U11 boys singles county final.

Camogie Presentation: Congratulations to the following camogie players who won 'Player of the Year' awards for 2013 on Friday night last in the Lakeside Hotel.

U9- Ellen O'Donnell, U10 Naoise Houlihan, U11 leah O'Donovan, U12 Hazel Mc Mahon, U13 Leanne Conroy, U14 Michelle Lotter, U16 Rebecca Foley, U16 Christina Hayes. Also the winning 2013 Feile team were honoured medals were presented by Brendan Mc Keogh.
