Lost in Space: Ever wondered about what is beyond our atmosphere? This course is about exploring some of the many phenomena that make up our universe. Exploring what is out there and how various parts of the universe interact.

This is a chance to find out what is beyond Earth and how we are affected by different aspects of the universe.
In this course ākonga will be able to develop their modelling and investigating skills, build up their research and communications skills, while also learning about how Science develops new ideas and theories.
The majority of the course focuses on Astronomy, what is beyond our atmosphere, but also we will cover how the universe beyond us can affect the Earth.
This course will lead into NCEA Level 1 Science (Year 11). Also students interested in studying astronomy further, will find this course to be useful for NCEA Level 2 and 3 Earth and Space Science.
Course material will be supplied as part of the course.
