Animation, video editing, design principles, programming, the current and future landscape of Artificial Intelligence, as well as general digital literacy and key computing skills
Design and make animations, videos, and computer programs. Research how usability heuristics are important to creating usable systems.
There are four Achievement Standards at NCEA L1 for Digital Technologies:
Standard 92004 - Create a computer program (internal)
Standard 92005 - Develop a digital technologies outcome (internal)
Standard 92006 - Demonstrate understanding of usability in human-computer interfaces (external)
Standard 92007 - Design a digital technologies outcome (external)
Endorsement is available if students achieve a mix of internal and external standards.
While not essential, it is recommended to have a PC at home that you can practice skills or research on.
