Manukura is a multilevel class focused on building resilient young people through the concepts of hauora, tūrangawaewae and manaakitanga.

Completing the programme will give you the opportunity to find and push past your physical and mental limits, connect in a more meaningful way with who you are and what you stand for as well as form strong working relationships with likeminded people.
In Manukura you will learn about Hauora, exercise physiology, societal pressures and essential life skills.
You will work through a programme with a variety of practical and class based activities. These are designed to build our understanding of hauora, physiology and society in a meaningful and relevant way.
Your mahi will be assessed through a variety of available standards and is not limited to the following:
Standard 91498 - Evaluate physical activity experiences to devise strategies for lifelong wellbeing (internal)
Standard 91500 - Evaluate the effectiveness of a performance improvement programme (internal)
Standard 91102 - Construct and deliver a crafted and controlled oral text (internal)
Standard 1296 - Informal Interview (internal)
Standard 1307 - Speak to a known audience in a predictable situation (internal)
