RIVER RAIDER
Dear BRMS Families,
It was a beautiful last week of summer at BRMS. Fall officially arrives early Saturday morning and with that brings the annual Harvest Market Parade. Our marching band, under the direction of Berta Frank, will be participating in the event starting at 9:00 on Saturday. Be sure to get out early and support all of our dedicated musicians!
We had several great soccer and field hockey games this week. Our students have demonstrated great skill and sportsmanship while out on the field. Our cross country team will be participating in their first meet this afternoon in Charlotte. It will be a perfect day for running in the woods. The BRMS XC invitational will be held Monday October 16th. Please be sure to check our Athletic Page to see all of our teams schedules, so you can get outside and cheer on our teams.
BRMS after school clubs have started as well and we will be adding many more opportunities for our students as we move through the school year. Club announcements will be advertised in the River Raider and all students are encouraged to participate in these activities. Please contact us if you have any questions about these great opportunities.

ANNOUNCING THE BRMS ACTOR"S CLUB! Deadline to join: Oct 9, 2023
Who: Grades 5 & 6 on Mondays, Grades 6 - 8 on Thursdays (yes, 6th graders can come 2x a week) until Oct 26 - all grades 5 - 8 meet 2x a week - Mondays and Thursdays
When: OCT - Mondays & Thursdays after school till late bus (see schedule by grade above), beginning Oct 30 - we meet after school extended - until 3:45pm (past the late bus).
THEME for semester: Drama Games & Improv!
