Dear BRMS Families:
We are heading into the last full week of school. Our students are looking forward to the summer months and the many adventures that are planned during their time off from school.
On Thursday we held our annual science fair organized by Jeff Warren, our 8th grade science teacher. We had 43 teams and close to one hundred students who participated in the event. The top prize went to Lily Waterhouse who designed a hydroelectric generator. There were many other outstanding projects that were presented on Thursday evening. We are proud of the work that all of our students put into their presentations.
Our NEST groups have been designing and constructing their hood ornaments for the 2nd Annual BRMS Grand Prix to be held on June 12th in the back parking lot. The students and staff will be racing their carts in a fun filled event for everyone to enjoy. These types of events help to build a healthy and supportive community at BRMS. Students are working on some very creative designs and we are looking forward to seeing their finished work.
Just a reminder that 8th Grade Recognition Night will be held on Monday June 17th, at 6:30 p.m. We are planning on holding the ceremony outdoors in our back fields. In the event of rain we will be using our gymnasium to host the event. We will be monitoring the weather and will make a final decision on June 14. The 8th grade students will go to Jay Peak on June 14th and have a cruise on the Spirit of Ethan Allen on June 17th.
Have a great weekend
Kevin
