Dear BRMS Families,
It was wonderful to reconnect with all of our students upon their return from the winter break.
We can definitely feel spring inching closer as the sun gets higher in the sky each day. It was wonderful hearing about all of their amazing adventures during the days they were away from school.
We want to remind our families that we have several after school opportunities for our students to participate in throughout the remainder of the school year. Be sure to check out the River Raider for information about these activities, clubs, and events. Feel free to call us if you have any questions or if there are any barriers that might be preventing your child from attending these fun and creative activities. We want to make sure that all of our students have the opportunity to enjoy our after school offerings.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend and remember to set your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday morning. Another sign that spring is on the way!
Kevin
BRMS has participated in the Spectrum Youth & Family Services Sleep Out for the last 10 years and in that time has raised over $112,000. Each dollar raised has helped a Vermont teenager who has struggled with homelessness. Join us and make a difference! For more information, please watch this short video from last year; Spectrum Sleep Out
There are many different ways our students can choose to get involved and your level of participation is up to you! If you decide to join, you are welcome to;
*Sign up and participate at your own home on 3/20/25.
*Join us at BRMS on 3/20 at 7pm in the cafeteria for a presentation, activities, bonfire, slice of pizza, and set up your tent to sleep over in front of the school overnight (an adult chaperone is required. However, parents can give permission for students to sleep in the same tent as their friends [of the same identifying gender] as long as an adult is present and in charge of your group).
* Sign up, raise $ and join us for the events of the evening and go home.
* Or just sign up and raise $ knowing you’re helping others less fortunate and in need of help.
**but, of course- We Hope You Join Us for the Sleep Out at BRMS:)
With parent(s) / guardian(s) permission, please sign up here and start your fundraising!
