Dear BRMS Families:
Move Up Day is quickly approaching for our 8th grade students on May 31st. I always enjoy this time of year as I observe our departing students interacting at recess and lunch. It is amazing to see the amount of growth, both physically and emotionally, that our students have made over their four year journey at BRMS. The transition from an elementary school student to high school is an incredible experience and each spring we are reminded why we love being educators in middle school. Move Up Day at MMU is always a positive experience for our students and it usually helps to decrease many of the worries about transitioning to high school.
Please remember that all 6th grade students should plan on staying home on Friday, May 31st as our teachers will also be welcoming the upcoming 5th grade students from JES and UCS. We are excited to meet all of our new students of the BRMS class of 2028!
One final reminder that the 2nd annual BRMS Fine Arts night is being held on Thursday, May 30th from 6-8:00 p.m. Our hallways will be filled with student artwork from the past school year. We hope to see you on Thursday as we display the work of the many talented artists at our school!
We hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!
Have a great weekend
Kevin
