Dear BRMS Families:
Congratulations to all of our Drama Club members for their amazing performances and behind the scene work for their presentation of the play “A Recipe of Me”. The students did an incredible job performing the play twice in less than twenty four hours. Thank you to our directors Berta Frank and Laurie Forsman and a special thanks to Jeff York and Spencer Burnett for their work on the lights and sound. We are proud of all the work that you put into the fall play.
We are only five days away from our Thanksgiving Break and we have a couple of exciting events happening at BRMS. Throughout next week we are having our Mullet Madness food and diaper drive to support our local food shelf. Several of our staff and students are planning on participating in a school wide Mullet Parade (Business in front….party in the back). We are looking for donations of non-perishable food items and disposable diapers. More information will be sent to families from their teachers throughout the school week.
On Friday, November 22nd we will be hosting our 5th/6th grade party after school from 2:45 until 4:15. This is a fun event that we host twice during the school year. There will be a D.J., games, gym activities and snacks. Permission slips have been sent home to families and should be returned to the guidance office. There is a $5.00 donation request to help offset the cost, but it is not necessary to attend the event. We do rely on parent volunteers and we are a few parents short for this event. If we are unable to get the necessary volunteers we may need to postpone the event. Please reach out to brmsbrag@mmuusd.org if you have any questions or would like to help out with this event.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Kevin
Dozens of families in the greater Browns River Middle School area (Jericho, Underhill, Westford, Cambridge and Essex) use the local food shelf. Holiday time is busy for the food shelf - by Thanksgiving, it’s normal for the food shelf to have given away most of its food. This is when BRMS steps up and helps to restock the food shelf for the coming months.
How does BRMS do it? We make a contest out of it!
Students and families are encouraged to donate food, hygiene and diapers. Their donations will be in the name of a contestant in the Mullet-Mania contest. Those items add up to votes which determine the winner of the “Golden Mullet." Mullet Madness concludes November 21st with a parade of the contestants at BRMS.

Dear Parent(s) & Guardian(s),
As we head into the upcoming holidays and winter season, we want to make you aware that we are fortunate to have some scholarships to the Bolton Ski Program, gift cards, winter jackets, bookbags, etc. to help support our students and families in need of a little extra help. Please consider reaching out to Jenn or myself, confidentially, to inquire about any of the above.
We also want to thank the generosity of the BRMS Staff and the local communities of Jericho and Underhill for their thoughtful donations and support of others!
Be well -
Greg and Jenn
