Dear BRMS Families:
We hope that you had a wonderful winter break with your families. Our students and staff returned re-energized and ready to move into the spring season. It was a short week and our students quickly returned to their daily routines at BRMS. It was wonderful to hear students share about their many adventures and activities that they participated in over the break.
We have many events and activities happening over the next couple of weeks. We have three volleyball teams practicing on a daily basis in our gym and they are looking forward to games soon. Our first drama production is scheduled for the end of the month. Students have been rehearsing their roles and are looking forward to the first play at BRMS since 2019. Baseball and Softball will begin in April. We are still looking for a coach for the baseball team. Please contact me if you might be interested in this opportunity.
Student report cards will be mailed home on March 20th. We will be offering conferences to our students and families in the last weeks of March. Please be sure to look for information from your child’s teacher. This is a great opportunity to connect with our staff so that we can work together to support the needs of all our students.
Have a great weekend and don’t forget to spring ahead one hour on Sunday!
Kevin

Pack 620 Bear Scouts are running a clothing drive to collect warm clothes for Winooski public school students. Winooski public school provides children, ages 5 to 18, with various necessities such as winter clothing. This school district has a high population of refugees who may be unprepared for our cold climate. They need mittens, coats and sweaters/sweatshirts. We will be collecting clothing through March 30th. A clothing donation box will be placed at BRMS.
Pack 620 Bear scouts thank you for your support!
Each year, families, companies, and students join the Spectrum Sleep Out in solidarity with homeless young adults in Vermont. These courageous individuals sleep outside for one night-Thursday March 23rd- and raise money to keep Spectrum’s doors open for the next young adult looking for help. This year our team, the BRMS Rock Stars, has a goal of raising $20,000 (or more!) to provide homeless and at-risk youth the services they need to build future success and independence.

A Note From the Club:
Volleyball Families,
My name is Coach Andy Beeman, the coach for the Club Volleyball Team. We have lower numbers than expected on the club team this year which offers us the opportunity to open our practices up to any of the B team players who would like to join us for some extra court time. The club team has the gym from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am happy to work with any of the players on fundamentals during that time – just show up when you can.
I realize that volleyball is already a big time commitment for families, so I want to emphasize that there is no obligation to attend these sessions for B team players. This is just an extra opportunity for those who want to join us and can make it during our practice times.
Thanks,
Coach Andy B
