RIVER RAIDER
Dear BRMS Families,
All of our students and staff are looking forward to a well deserved week off from school. Our students have worked hard on their academics over the last three months and we concluded our first trimester today. Teachers will be in school on Monday and Tuesday next week focusing on professional development with our academic coaches and spending time working on report cards. The first trimester report cards will be mailed the second week of December along with individual student results from last spring’s VTCAP state assessments.
We are excited to report that we have started to install the baskets for our new 9 hole disc golf course that was made possible through grant money from the towns of Jericho and Underhill. Most of our work for this course will be completed in the spring, and the course will be open to the public during non-school hours throughout most of the year. Be sure to come over and check out the course along the outer perimeter of the campus.
As we move into this season of many different holidays and celebrations, I want to express my appreciation for being a part of the Jericho and Underhill school community for the past 15 years. Our community is truly a special place to raise and educate children, and I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to work and play with all of your children. They are an amazingly talented, caring, thoughtful and funny group of young people who bring joy to my life everyday. The best part of my day is greeting them first thing in the morning when they arrive on our campus. No matter what happens during the week, this morning ritual always helps me to see the good in our world.
Have a wonderful time with your family and friends in the next couple of weeks!
Kevin
