RIVER RAIDER

Dear BRMS Families,

Last night we held our first Open House at BRMS since the fall of 2019 when our current 8th grade students were in 5th grade. It was wonderful welcoming all of the families back into the building and the positive energy was extremely uplifting for all our staff members. Thank you for coming out on such a beautiful evening and participating in our scavenger hunt. We had a great time reconnecting with all of our families.

Our sports season is now in full swing and our teams are having a very successful campaign on the athletic fields. However, our proudest moment so far as a school was receiving a call from another athletic director complementing our field hockey team on their positive team play. We are proud of how our teams represent themselves both on and off the field. Be sure to get out and support the teams over the last couple of weeks of the fall season. They have worked hard to develop their skills as athletes and teammates.

Our after school clubs are also getting started and there are many opportunities for our students to explore new activities as they journey through middle school. We are excited to announce that our drama program will be restarting after three years of having a dark stage. Laurie Forsman will be starting small with an after school program and we will be looking to develop a drama performance in the spring of 2023. Make sure to check out the River Raider for club information and encourage your child to explore these many options.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Browns River Middle School, with the help of some dedicated parents, is gearing up for winter and planning for an exciting opportunity to get students to Bolton Valley for some night skiing one day a week with transportation to and from the mountain.

To make this happen we need to see who might be interested in participating as a student skier/rider OR as a parent chaperone.

Team Explore Morning Quiet Time Mandala

When: Wednesdays from 2:45 to 3:25

Who: Everyone is invited!

What you need: Nothing, we have everything you need!

Is it like the Strangers Things 4 Hellfire club?: Yes in that it's dramatic and fun, no in that the monsters the kids fight do not actually exist in an upside down parallel universe. Probably.
