Dear BRMS Families,
Last night over 70 students and guardians spent the night outside in tents to support Spectrum Youth Services for the annual Spectrum Sleep Out. Our students spent the evening learning about the challenges of youth homelessness, and how it impacts the lives of many young people throughout the State of Vermont. The students were able to briefly experience the discomfort of having to live outside in the cold weather, and then attend school the next day. There were many great discussions and revelations that our students had throughout the experience. This is the 12th year that BRMS has participated in this event, and our students raised over $20,000. In a time when our world is facing many difficult challenges, our students always remind me of what is good in our world, and they give me great hope for the future. Thank you to Mr. Martin for organizing this event, and thank you to Mr. Warren, Mr. G, and Senor Chase for helping to supervise our students. We also want to thank everyone who made donations to our team.
Third trimester report cards were mailed to families this afternoon. Please be sure to look for your child’s information in the mail this week. Let us know if you have not received your child’s report card by the end of next week.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Kevin
