Dear BRMS Families:

Today was Move Up Day at Browns River Middle School.  We welcomed all of our new 5th grade students from UCS and JES, and sent our 8th graders off to MMU with their student leaders!  This day is always a day of mixed emotions for all of our students and staff members. The emotions range from great joy, nervousness, excitement, anticipation, and a little sadness all mixed together.  We fondly remember welcoming our current 8th graders through our doors four years ago, and we are truly astonished about the growth that they have made over their time at BRMS.  At this same time, we are filled with anticipation as we see the youthful energy of our new 5th graders entering for the first time.  Both groups of students are eagerly looking forward to making the next step in their educational journey at our school.

Yesterday we hosted our annual Science Fair at BRMS.  There was an amazing display of scientific inquiry from all our budding scientists.  Congratulations to all of our participants and to the winners of the competition!  Thank you to Mr. Warren for all of his time and enthusiasm for organizing this annual event.

Please remember to review all of the important dates that are found in this edition of the River Raider.  We are quickly coming to the conclusion of the school year, and there are several important dates for our 8th grade families to be aware of for the end of year plans.
