Morning Frost at BRMS

Team Ion “On 3 everyone jump!”

Dear BRMS Families,

This summer we purchased a brand new kiln for our art program with the funds from a generous anonymous donation last December. Over the past couple of weeks our students have been enjoying the benefits of this new addition to our art classroom as they explore the medium of sculpting with clay in the first trimester. Several examples of these works can be found in this week’s River Raider along with a picture of the kiln with Ms. Gomez and Mr. Lee.

I would also like to congratulate our 8th grade student, Anya Muller, for being selected to be a legislative page at the Vermont State House. Anya went through the application process and will be working in Montpelier early next year. BRMS has had other students selected for this opportunity in the past and they have had an amazing experience learning about Vermont State government.

The first trimester of the year was completed today and students will begin going to different exploratory classes on Monday. Teacher’s will be working on report cards over the next couple of weeks and they will be mailed home on December 3rd. Spring SBAC results will be mailed to families on Nov. 19th.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Kevin

Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District was one of two school districts and communities selected to participate in a feasibility study of the Future of Rural Transit Project. The Future of Rural Transit is a coalition of VTrans and other partners seeking to expand transportation options by combining school and public bus service (adding options beyond the existing, exclusive pupil transportation). This survey HERE will help the project team gather valuable feedback on potential routes. Responses will be anonymous.
