RIVER RAIDER

Dear Families,

Happy New Year!  I hope you had a relaxing December break with family and friends.   We were excited to welcome back our students on Tuesday and reconnect with them after a long break.   Students were a little tired upon their return but quickly returned to their academic routines and after school activities.

We have many new opportunities coming up for our students including rehearsals for our spring drama production and the Penguin Plunge.  The Penguin Plunge is an annual tradition that has happened at BRMS for over 20 years!  Over the years we have raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support the Vermont Special Olympics.   Students and staff members will be plunging into Lake Champlain in early February.  BRMS family members are always welcome to join the fun!   The spring drama production will happen in late March.   Details about these opportunities can be found in this and future editions of the River Raider.

Have a great weekend!

Kevin

Updated Bus Pass Procedures

Students going anywhere rather than their own home require a pass, even if it is a different stop on their assigned bus.  We need parent permission in order to write a bus pass.  You can let us know your child's plan by calling, emailing us at brmsattendance@mmuusd.org, or sending a note to the office.

Bus passes will only be issued each day until 2:30 as dismissal is at 2:40.   Please contact us if you need any assistance, we are always happy to help!
