Dear Families,
We hope you were able to enjoy another Thursday off with your children as we continue to see the snow slowly pile up this winter. We are only one week away from our February Break but we continue to be busy with our learning and playing at BRMS.
This month our NEST groups have been discussing Black History Month. Each NEST has selected an event or person to research that is related to Black History in the United States.
The NEST groups will be creating a document that will be shared and displayed on our front bulletin board. Please be sure to ask your child about their research and what they have learned about their person or event. One of our NEST groups interviewed local musician Bobby Hackney (Interview Link). Here are the NEST Slides that we used to guide our discussions on Wednesday mornings. Families are welcome to visit our bulletin board throughout the month of March when we return from the break.
The BRMS Penguin Plungers had a great day to go into the water on Saturday. We raised over $27,000 for the Vermont Special Olympics. Here is a link to the official Photos from the Penguin Plunge Website. Congratulations to all of our Plungers and thank you for all of your support and donations to our team!
Have a great weekend.
Kevin

This is an amazing and fun overnight recreational camp where campers can sample new recreational activities, learn and improve skills, and stretch beyond their comfort zones to continue to build self esteem and empower girls with feelings of acceptance and understanding. Please feel free to reach out to Gregory Martin for more information. *If you have an older potential camper (ages 13/14) please reach out to Jenn Wisniowski to inquire about their 13 day hiking and canoeing program.
