Dear BRMS Families:
We hope your children are enjoying their surprise snow day. We apologize for any last minute challenges that this closure may have caused for your families. The MMUUSD transportation department has a very complicated and difficult job. Aaron Little and Sergio Franco are the directors of the department, and they do an amazing job meeting the many transportation needs of Browns River Middle School everyday. Even during the most stressful situations, they are kind and thoughtful in their interactions with all of our community. Their number one priority is to get our students home safely to their families, and they do this without fail through many difficult situations including low staffing, challenging weather conditions, and the general nature of middle school students! There are literally and figuratively many moving parts to the transportation system in MMUUSD. Aaron and Sergio navigate these challenges every day without complaint, and come back the next day to do it again for the benefit of our district. Many times they can be seen driving buses, making sure that our students arrive safely to field trips, athletic events, and a variety of other events. Thank you Aaron and Sergio for all that you do everyday at BRMS and beyond!
Just a reminder that 1st trimester report cards will be mailed home next Friday. Please let us know if you do not receive your child’s report card.
Stay warm, and have a great weekend!
Kevin
