6-7 is a trend setter! Every time the numbers 6 or 7 come up, the entire room immediately says “6-7” in unison. Much to the teacher's audacity, the now iconic hand movements come along with it. 6-7 is everywhere, even in the math room! When Ms. O’Neill– or any math teacher– asks for a number, the outcome is often 6, 7, 4 or 1. Naturally, teachers and students are asking where 6-7 came from. Apparently, it started when Skrilla came out with the song “Doot Doot” referencing NBA player LaMelo Ball’s height. From there, it turned into a meme, and then a meme with hand motions. Unfortunately, we have no clue why people do the hand motion, so don’t ask us. You may have seen the 6-7 survey posted on the Daily. We promised to show the results —here they are! Over 119 people filled out our survey. How do people feel about 6-7? Well, a whopping 35 people answered “I like it I guess”. How many times do people say it? 46 people said that they say 6-7 about 6 or 7 times a day. This is a shocking answer that no one could have ever guessed.
6-7 will clearly be on all Christmas cards this year! I mean, even some of the teachers dressed up as 6-7 for Halloween! But, is it possible that 6-7 is getting overtaken by another even more popular meme?
4-1 has taken over everyone's brains! The teachers are going insane, and the halls during passing period are filled with the sound of 4-1. 4-1 started when rapper Blizzi Boi created the song “41 Song” (creative name, huh) where he sings about how he has 41 of everything. He is going viral for his song. We don’t have any data for 4-1, but we can get a good guess of what it would be! The majority of people would probably say that they love 4-1, and that they say it 4 to 1 or 6 to 7 times a day.
TikTok started exploding with 6-7 and 4-1 memes and videos. There are many debates about which one is better, 4-1 or 6-7? In fact, people have become famous for saying 6-7. Ever since Maverick Trevillain or 6-7 kid, screamed 6-7 into a camera and TikTok star Cam Wilder then posted a video of it, Maverick has gained popularity. Rapper Blizzi Boi has become associated with 4-1 after he released his song. There are many YouTube videos of standoffs between 6 7 Kid and Blizzi Boi, they are most likely created using AI. That’s how popular 6-7 and 4-1 are getting.
So if this is all the new trend, what will happen next? We guess that Etsy will fill up with 6-7 and 4-1 merch, and who knows! Maybe someone will make a movie about the memes! But if 6-7 and 4-1 are so popular, will it get overtaken by a new meme by 2026? Who knows, maybe 7-11 is just down the alley. You, too, could be the head associated with a new meme, just call 670-410-6741.
(Just kidding, don't actually call that number, although I kind of want to see who picks up…)
