Really, what did you expect?
A real article?
I would never lie to you…
Ok, that’s a lie.
But, I would never lie to you about this specific topic,
the topic of whether or not this “article” you clicked on is really an article.
It is not.
Go on. You can keep scrolling on, but I will keep my word. This is not an article.
Hi. Again. You seem determined to uncover the article hidden in this mass of white. I am here to tell you that the hidden article you seek DOES NOT exist. It really doesn’t. Try as you might, you will not find it. I ate the article. Shoo, go away. Don’t scroll down… nothing down there… The end.
Ahh! You found me. So why did I lie about this article? Well, I lied simply because I desperately needed an article idea. However, why do people in general lie? Well, according to the University of Rochester Medical Center, most common lies are driven by good intentions of not wanting to hurt others’ feelings. As an example, if someone were to personally bake me cookies but they tasted terrible, I would still say “Oh, these taste great. Thank you so much!” and not “Bro, these are so bad. What cookies are these, more like overcook-ies”. Most would not say the second one to someone who spent their valuable time making cookies for you. That is one of the main reasons that people lie; they don’t wish to hurt others’ feelings. This is commonly referred to as a “white lie”. Another reason (the not-as-great reason) is that people lie to get out of trouble. They say that they didn’t break the vase even though they did. Now you know (even though you probably already did) why people lie. Also, there is DEFINITELY NOT ANOTHER ARTICLE AFTER THIS ONE… no actually.
