You may have recently watched the Super Bowl and admired the striking uniforms worn by each team. Today, we will be ranking NFL team jerseys from the 2024-2025 season. We will only rank the NFC (National Football Conference) teams. We will rank them based on how the colors go together and how good they look.
For a little context, all NFL teams have a home kit that is in their team color and a white away kit. The only exception to that is the Dallas Cowboys, who wear their white jersey at home. Throughout the years, teams have also added alternate jerseys. Alternate jerseys have a wide range of designs and colors. Some teams might choose to wear a black version of their home jersey, use throwback jerseys from the past, or create something completely different! The possibilities are endless.
Finally, let's discuss a bit about helmets. Since 2022, the NFL has allowed two helmets per team, which gives the teams more flexibility to design the uniform as they like. Without further ado, let's jump right in!
16. New Orleans Saints (Last Place): This uniform is basic and lacks creativity. The alternate uniforms simply swapped the pants' color from black to gold, which didn’t add any meaning or represent the city or its culture. A good addition would be to introduce a new alternate uniform that includes gold numbers on a white jersey and white pants. Whether it is a new helmet color or a new uniform, the Saints could use an update.
15. San Francisco 49ers: We found their uniforms pretty bland since the uniforms were all the same colors inverted. The alternative was an all-white version which was the only clean look in the team. That said, the blocky numbers were a nice throwback, and we appreciated that detail. Still, the uniforms are missing something new. They need more small details and changes, and a new helmet wouldn’t hurt. Also take into consideration our bias toward our division rivals.
