Did you know that November is Peanut Butter Lovers’ Month? Peanut Butter Lovers’ Month was created by the Peanut Board so that people could enjoy peanut butter. Even though we don’t have peanut butter at Lakeside, there are many peanut butter lovers out there.
We asked Lakeside students and faculty about how peanut butter month makes them feel.
Student, doesn’t like peanut butter
Q: Why don’t you like peanut butter?
A: I think it’s too nutty and it’s just too sticky because when it gets stuck in your mouth it takes effort to get it out.
Q: How do you feel about Lakeside being a nut-free school?
A: I don’t really care because I don’t really like peanut butter and my old school was also nut-free so there isn’t much of a difference.

Q: Why do you like peanut butter?
A: I like it because you can eat it with jelly
Q: How do you feel about Lakeside being nut-free?
A: I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it either.

Q: Why do you like peanut butter and what is your favorite kind?
A: It tastes good. My favorite type is crunchy peanut butter, and I like it especially when it’s salty.
Q: How do you feel about Lakeside being a nut-free school?
A: I do miss peanut butter at school, but I do understand that there are some kids who have allergies and that's more important than some of our peanut butter cravings. So I get that some of us have to sacrifice by not eating peanut butter.
