Happy New Year! To celebrate, our Life & Culture team put together an article on new year's resolutions, one's goals for the new year. For example, a resolution could be, “I want to be more organized for the new year.” We asked the Lakeside community to share their resolutions, and suffice to say they did not disappoint. Let’s jump into it!
-Survive the sixth-grade homework
An excellent goal; homework can definitely ramp up in the second semester, but we believe in you!
-Doing my homework earlier
Staying organized is very important, and it allows you to get more sleep because you won’t be doing your homework at 10 p.m.
-Getting more sleep
Getting plenty of sleep is an important part of your day.
-Marrying Lee Felix
I sense that a Stay (Stray Kids fan) is here… while this is maybe not an achievable goal (and potentially quite creepy), we love the enthusiasm and dedication!
-To watch one Teletubby episode per day (there are 365 episodes, the same amount as days in the year)
Finding the time to enjoy yourself is so important in this busy Lakeside life! We wholeheartedly hope that you find enough time each day to unwind with a Teletubby episode.
-To be the smartest person in the school.
Getting good grades is a good goal, but maybe being the smartest person in the entire school is quite hard to achieve.
- Actually fill out a Leo form. Wait, just did that. Guess I’ve accomplished my resolution!
Filling out Leo forms is really helpful to our newspaper. Thanks so much!
-I want to eat a seaweed topper
Trying new foods is super important for exploring new things! By the way, what is a seaweed topper?
-I hope to get out of any toxic relationships
I’m so sorry you are involved in any toxic relationships. Getting out of a toxic relationship is important because if you keep going, it might harm your self esteem.
Thank you to everyone who answered our form. You all have amazing resolutions. We hope you achieve your goals! Happy New Year!
