Student Accomplishments in 2024

Here we are, at the start of 2025! Let’s take a moment to think about the amazing accomplishments all of the Lakeside students have achieved over 2024. Here are some that really stood out to us, and we have decided to share them with you!

6th grader- Got 7th place at the USA Fencing Summer Nationals this year. 

“I'm very proud of my results and I hope to continue doing good next year.”

Nora B., 5th grader- Went to IEA Nationals in her first year doing it.

“I am very happy. Looking back at it, I have always wanted to go to an important horse show. When my team qualified I didn't even believe it. to wrap it up, it was really a dream.”

Alexis G., 7th grader- Got 28 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and 31 seconds in the 50-yard butterfly. 

“I was so excited when I finished my swimming races and got these times. I worked really hard so I could improve my time swimming. These are both gold-standard times that I am proud of. ”

8th grader-Finished writing her book.

“I am so relieved and proud that I was able to make it this far with this book. I spent weeks non-stop writing and months without typing a word. Through the ups and downs, I was able to push through and finish! I am so grateful to my best friends/editors who helped me through this process and hopefully I can publish it soon!!!”

7th grader-Started up a club.

“It feels really amazing to be able to contribute to Lakeside and create a club to connect people with the same interests in technology. I also love working with people and meeting new kids; I also love to lead, so this gives me a leadership opportunity as well.”

5th grader-Soccer team got bumped to the 3rd best in the state.

“We worked really hard to get to it and it finally happened. I felt good when it happened but I also felt the weight of the world fall off my shoulders.”

5th grader-Got into Lakeside.

“I worked super hard to get in and my mom really wanted me to get in and I did!”

Ethan P., 5th grader-Won a piano competition.

“I’m very happy and satisfied”

Mason J., 5th grader-Won 2nd place in a chess tournament.

“I’m really proud and happy about it”
