Vina's project is the mind map of the TOK Exhibition she is currently working on.
The TOK Exhibition itself is an internal assessment for the subject, which will be held at the beginning of year 12. It is a project where students are required to make connections between the conceptual frameworks (scope, methods and tools, perspective, and ethics) and knowledge themes (Knowledge and the Knower, Knowledge and Language, Knowledge and Technology) discussed in the TOK classroom and the real world by way of the question: “Does the exhibition successfully show how TOK manifests in the world around us?”. By doing so, students are encouraged to hone their intelligent, reflective, and communicative dimensions through their critical analysis. Each student will exhibit three objects connected to one of the thirty five prompts provided by IB.
The prompt Vina has chosen is the Knowledge Question: What role does imagination play in producing knowledge about the world? Here she choses three objects she will use to answer the question while also connecting them to the theme of Knowledge and Language.
