In the Individual & Societies lesson, I implemented the dimensions of Reflective, Intelligent, and Communicative by creating a presentation about the 4th President of Indonesia, Abdurrahman Wahid. Through this presentation, I applied the knowledge that I have learned in the classroom about the Reformation era and human rights. I also expanded my knowledge on the importance of soft power and pluralism, especially in a diverse country like Indonesia. Using my understanding, I also proposed solutions for the future political condition in Indonesia by emphasizing interfaith dialogue and political regeneration to maintain regional stability.
This is another summative of mine from Semester 2 of Year-10. For the assignment, we had to make a presentation about one of the presidents of Indonesia that we have learned throughout the term. The president I chose is Abdurrahman Wahid or better known as Gus Dur, he was Indonesia’s 4th President from 20th October, 1999 to 23rd July, 2001. Explaining from the background to one of their policies that they are known for. Gus Dur’s most famous for his Lunar New Year policy, during the New Order Era Chinese cultured people aren’t allowed to carry their tradition or worship activities publicly. Gus Dur is a person raised in a very deep islamic environment but he still took notice of other ethnicities and is not scared to give equal rights to everyone. Gus Dur managed to make Lunar New Year an optional public holiday in Indonesia where he was then named the Father of Pluralism. Once we’re done, we presented our findings and I am pleasantly interested because I have not always been a big fan of history since it’s not one of my strongest subjects but it was interesting seeing the journey of transformation.
To achieve the dimensions of intelligent, communicative and reflective. I accomplished, by research about president BJ Habibie to get information. After I got it, I started to work on it. After I make a slide, I do presentation in front of the class.
To achieve the dimension of intelligent, communicative, and reflective, I've created a presentation slide about the reign of President B. J. Habibie. Through this learning experience, I developed my research skill as I had to find informations form reliable sources. I also gained knowledge about the history of Indonesia during reform era especially during the reign of President B. J. Habibie. After I worked on this project, I had to present the project in front of the class.
To achieve the dimensions of intelligent, reflective and communicative, I created a presentation slide about President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Through this learning experience I gained research skill as I collect information about the president and I also applied knowledge I've gained about the era of reformation in Indonesia during the Individual and Societies class.
In Individual and Societies program, I created a presentation slide about President B. J. Habibie as one of the president of Indonesia during reform era. To achieve the dimensions of intelligent, communicative and reflective, I accomplished the project which required me to work on my research skill to collect data and information about B. J. Habibie. I also gained knowledge about the situation of Indonesia during reform era and applied it to my project.
