I find the topic in this term as the most interesting because I am intrigued by biology. It is also fascinating seeing how microorganisms are programmed to be utilized in, for example, building.
I learned how utilizing technology in the biotech field can be very beneficial. I explored the Living Building Materials (LBM) that is currently being developed, and how this can be a great sustainable alternative for many of the building materials being used in the present.
The topic helps me understand the way bio-tech can be beneficial for us and the Earth, and this can help evolve new ideas and technologies to be created in the future.
I chose this because I really liked the topic we learned in term 2. The topic was intriguing, and I learned a lot from it. I think I did a pretty good job on my summative assessment and I'm pleased with my work.
I learned how genetics work, and how scientists are applying this knowledge to solve issues and create beneficial products using biology, in other words biotechnology. For my summative, I learned how scientist were attempting to resurrect ancient animals by using biotechnology.
The topic taught me about biotechnology's potential and the diverse range of applications it can accomplish. From bioengineering larger crops to resurrecting ancient species, the possibilities are endless. The topic helped me in better understanding genetics and how biotechnology can alter specific qualities in animals or crops.
I chose this topic as it engrossed me the most. Not only was the topic fascinating, I enjoyed the summative assignment experiment and I find the results accurate with my hypothesis, which I am pleased about.
In this topic, I've learnt things such as the characteristics of electricity, how to calculate electricity usage and Kirchhoff's law. Due to Kirchhoff's law, I have learnt how current and voltage work within a circuit as well.
As mentioned before, we learnt how to calculate electricity usage which can help us optimize and conserve electricity. We can also use the knowledge of electricity to invent technology that may be useful for us in the future.
I chose this topic because this was the work with the most effort attempted and put into video. I also think a video is more impressive than a essay.
I learned a lot about reproduction, more specifically on how it can be used to save endangered species.
It helped me understand what can be done to save an endangered species without being unethical.
