Intelligent | Innovative | Action-Oriented
Design & Technology challenges students to apply practical and creative-thinking skills to solve design problems; encourages students to explore the role of design in historical and contemporary contexts; and raises students' awareness of their responsibilities when making design decisions and taking action.
This program focuses on developing students' understanding of the design cycle as a tool for problem solving. Students will develop their technical skills and critical thinking that will enable them to construct research plan in order to develop their solution; develop accurate plan, specification, and success criteria; create digital or analog two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) product or design; and test their chosen method and impact, as well as to plan for improving their solution.
